'Kapamilya Blockbusters' beats 'Willing Willie's' debut

ABS-CBN's "Kapamilya Blockbusters" toppled its rivals, including Willie Revillame’s new program, "Willing Willie," based on national television ratings of Kantar Media/TNS last Saturday October 23.

The national ratings of “Kapamilya Blockbusters,” which shows Filipino movies, received an audience share of 22.6% last Saturday, beating GMA 7’s “Wish Ko Lang" (11.2%), and TV5’s “Willing Willie" (13.6%).

“Willing Willie” aired its grand debut on October 23 starting at 5 p.m. after ABS-CBN failed to get a temporary restraining order on the airing of Revillame’s new TV program.

The country’s longest-running drama anthology, “Maalaala Mo Kaya,” (MMK) garnered 22.8% audience share, defeating “Kapuso Mo" (15.7%) of GMA 7 and "Talentadong Pinoy" (10.6%) of TV5.

Figures also show that “Wansapanataym’s” audience share reached 30.1% versus GMA 7’s “Jejemom" (15%) and TV5’s “Laugh or Lose" (11.3%).

“TV Patrol” was still the No. 1 news program last Saturday, getting 27% audience share compared to 14.7% of GMA 7’s "24 Oras."

"Showtime," which had its first anniversary presentation last Saturday, had a big 18.3% share against the 5.7% of GMA's Asar "Talo Lahat Panalo."
