Piolo Pascual, Zaijan Jaranilla team up on 'Noah'

A well-crafted story. A formidable cast. Highly-acclaimed directors. Hardworking staff and crew. World-class artistry. ABS-CBN has dreamt of fusing all these factors in one drama series. And yes, it has finally come true as the network brings the Kapamilya viewers into a higher notch of television viewing via ‘Noah’, premiering on July 12.

A story arced on love and family, Noah is top-billed by the country’s Ultimate Heartthrob Piolo Pascual and ABS-CBN’s miracle boy, Zaijian Jaranilla.

After the hit primetime series May Bukas Pa, Zaijian is set to play a ‘lost’ boy who grew up with the Ungtas, a group of ape-like beings.

Paired with Piolo is one of the most beautiful faces in Philippine showbusiness, Kristine Hermosa. Piolo and Kristine’s last project together was ‘Komiks presents: Mars Ravelo’s Nasaan Ka Maruja?’ where Piolo had a special appearance. Their reunion in Maruja filled in their 10-year hiatus away from each other after ‘Sa Sandaling Kailangan Mo Ako’.

Other cast members included in the series are: Cherry Pie Picache, Nonie Buencamino, Jolo Revilla, Ana Capri, Joem Bascon, Melissa Ricks, Renzo Cruz Baron Giesler and Jodi Sta. Maria.

On the other hand, Noah also boasts its unique set-- a warehouse customized to look as a forest and home of the Ungtas. However, some of the scenes are still taken in Subic.

Sure to take you into a euphoric viewing experience, the story of Noah zeroes in Gabriel’s (Piolo) search of his missing son, Jacob (Zaijian). His travails lead him into a mysterious island called Noah where he eventually sees his lost son whose name is now Eli. Along the way, Gabriel also encounters the Ungtas and Eva (Kristine).

Get ready for a whole new viewing experience as ABS-CBN takes you to the island of “Noah,” directed by Malu Sevilla and Lino Cayetano, starting July 12.

Piolo thrilled to work with KC in 'Lovers In Paris'

Piolo Pascual shared that he is excited to work for the first time with young actress KC Concepcion in the local version of Korea's hit television series "Lovers In Paris."

Pascual said that he and Concepcion will undergo acting workshops together and start to tape the series this week.

"I'm just looking forward to it because this is KC's first soap as well, so ang daming nag-aabang. Ang tagal niya itong hinintay at pinag-isipan. Kasi hindi birong gumawa ng soap opera. So I wanted to be there for her," he added.

Pascual said he is sure that ABS-CBN will give a new flavor to the story.

"Ako personally may tiwala ako sa station, may tiwala ako sa management. Dito ang ibibigay natin yung Filipino flavor. Kasi upon watching nakita ko talaga yung culture ng Korea. Nakita ko how they fall in love... kung ano ang traditions nila. Dito iba naman. It's an adaptation pero definitely bibigyan namin ng texture ng Filipino culture. Ibang panlasa. Makikita mo talaga kung paano ma-inlove ang mga Filipinos," he explained.

The actor said he is also thrilled to work again with well-acclaimed director Eric Reyes, who also directed his hit series 'Lobo' with Angel Locsin.

"Ang sarap na after two months of rest sa TV, sa soap, mayroon na naman akong parang drive na, wow ang sarap umarte. Ang sarap na magkakaroon ka na naman ng bagong character," he added.

Piolo excited with his upcoming movie, “Land Down Under”.

Piolo Pascual can not contain his excitement for his upcoming movie “Land Down Under” with actress Angel Locsin. This is his first movie with Locsin after their successful TV series “Lobo” and also his first movie with director Rory Quintos.
Piolo and Angel will be shooting in Darwin, Australia and in Bukidnon for the movie. They will be filming the cowboy scenes in Australia.

Pascual told that he and Angel had to undergo training for horseback-riding under Vic Barba and Mikee Cojuangco as preparations for their role in the movie.
He shared that he got blisters during the first day of his horseback riding training since he didn’t know how to ride. But as time went by he got the hang of it.

However, to ensure the safety of Piolo and Angel, the ABS-CBN management got them insured while doing the movie.

Piolo started his career in 1997 and had his first big movie break with the movie "Lagarista" in 2000 where he got his first Gawad Urian nomination for Best Actor.
He also starred in ABS-CBN's TV series "Sa Piling Mo" last 2006 with actress Judy Ann Santos and last year's "Walang Kapalit" with Claudine Baretto.

Piolo also has a coffee table book entitled "Piolo: Believing" that showcases his career highlights.
