So, what’s new in the Kapamilya network?
Well, one of ABS-CBN’s top-rating teleserye “May Bukas Pa” aired its final episode yesterday after a year of inspiring millions of televiewers. The teleserye starring Zaijan Jaranilla who is now better known as Santino, the character he played in the TV series showcased a star-studded finale with no less than ABS-CBN President Charo Santos appearing in the show as Virgin Mary. Aside from the network’s president, a plethora of Kapamilya stars also appeared in the show.
Meanwhile, I heard that StarStudio magazine, a magazine being published by ABS-CBN Publishing Inc., hosted a party featuring one of the most awaited new primetime series, Rubi last February 2 with a fitting theme, Latino Night. The upcoming TV series which will be top-billed by Angelica Panganiban, Shaina Magdayao, Diether Ocampo and Jake Cuenca was an adaptation of a Mexican Telenovela which was also aired in ABS-CBN.
What I like about the magazine is it brings ordinary people closer to their favorite stars. It features stars and celebrities dressed in fashionable clothes. Some ladies actually purchase the magazine and other celebrity magazine just to look for the current trend in fashion.
Speaking of fashion, more and more people are becoming conscious on how they look. Regardless of their sizes, people are looking for fashionable and trendy clothes. No wonder why there’s a growing number of boutiques and specialty shops catering to plus size clothes. I also saw a couple of websites offering trendy and fashionable plus size dresses and jeans like SimplyBe Women’s Clothing. Plus sizes yet trendy clothes are sometimes hard to find but this is certainly not a problem anymore. This website now makes it easy for people to look great with their large array of plus size ladies jeans and dresses.

Cheryl Cosim bids goodbye to the Kapamilya network

Cheryl Cosim, the host of multi-awarded TV show “Salamat Dok,” bade goodbye to her colleagues at ABS-CBN and to the network's viewers and listeners.
In a letter sent late Thursday to all her Kapamilyas, Cosim, who is moving to network TV5, said she has enjoyed working with the country's biggest network, ABS-CBN, for almost 14 years.
"To my dear Kapamilyas, as most of you already know, it is my last week after almost 14 wonderful years with the company. I have learned, grown and enjoyed my tenure here and I appreciate having had the opportunity to work with most of you. I would like to sincerely thank each one of you for every experience shared, friendship made, opportunity offered and good times had during this time. Thank you for the support, guidance, and encouragement you have provided me during my time here at ABS-CBN," Cosim said.
Cosim said leaving ABS-CBN was the hardest decision she has ever made. She said she will miss all her friends and the people she has worked with. Cosim said that she's looking forward to new challenges at TV5.
"Leaving the company is one of the hardest decisions I have made in my life. It's harder to decide maybe because, as my youngest sister told me 'either way, it's a blessing... not too many people get to choose between two good things...," she said.
Entertainment columnist Ricky Lo of The Philippine Star wrote in his column last Tuesday that Cosim had accepted TV5’s lucrative offer.
Citing reports, Lo said Cosim will anchor TV5’s primetime newscast alongside Paolo Bediones, formerly with GMA 7, starting March.
Aside from “Salamat Dok,” Cosim hosts a morning show on radio dzMM, and from time to time, anchors Channel 2’s News Advisory.

The May 2010 Philippine election is just around the corner. It will be hard not to notice that we are now in the election period as even watching Television can now be irritating with the barrage of political advertisement from different politicos at this early. To think that the campaign period has not yet officially commenced.
It is in this light that it even crossed my mind to start a blog about the upcoming election. It would be a breath of fresh air to blog about politics for a change. I may start looking for cheap web hosting now to host this new blog.

Back for good.
After two months of inactivity on this blog, I’m finally back!
There were no updates or new posts during that period. If you want to know the reason why this poor blogger was missing-in-action for two months, you can visit my other blog. Needless to say, I really missed blogging. I missed blog hopping or visiting blogs of fellow bloggers, reading their articles, leaving comments and dropping Entrecard.
It really feels great to be back. I can't wait to catch up with everyone!
I was only away for only two months but time really flies very fast. A lot of things can happen in a short period time. I realized this when I was blog hopping. Some of the blogs that I used to visit are no longer active. The URL’s who used to house these blogs will now redirect you to websites offering travel packages or sites offering credit management. I even encountered blogs offering abacus debt management which I find interesting. Not that I have unmanageable debts but I really find it great to see websites offering assistance for those who have problems with their finances.
I wonder what happened to those bloggers who decided to quit blogging. Anyway, each of us has our own reasons for doing what we think is right.
That’s all for now… I’m really glad to be back.

'Paano Na Kaya?' earns P10M on first day

Star Cinema’s first offering for 2010, “Paano Na Kaya?", earned P10 million in ticket sales on its first day of screening on Wednesday according to the data released by Star Cinema's Booking and Distribution Department, “SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon” reported.
The movie which features the hottest love team in showbiz today, Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson or Kimerald was under the direction of Ruel S. Bayani. This is Kimerald's 4th movie as a loveteam.
"Paano Na Kaya?" tells the story of Mae (Chiu), who is secretly in love with her best friend, Bogs (Anderson). But their relationship turns complicated when Bogs' girlfriend, Anna (Melissa Ricks), breaks up with him. The separation sends Bogs into depression, and Mae comes to the rescue.
Mae thinks that the best way to save Bogs from self-destruction is by having a pseudo-relationship or "rebound relationship" with him.
Eventually the 2 fall in love, and from then on, they encounter the complexities or the intricacies of a "rebound relationship."
The cast members also include Cai Cortez, Janus del Prado, Empoy Marquez, IC Mendoza, Kian Kazemi, Bernard Palanca, Robi Domingo and Zsa Zsa Padilla.
