Sharon remains a Kapamilya

Megastar Sharon Cuneta has once again proved that she’s truly a Kapamilya after she renewed her contract with the Kapamilya network for another year.

"For 21 years I think there should be no question na I'm really Kapamilya. It's my family. This (contract) is for another year. Every year naman we sign a contract," Cuneta told "SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon."

The contract signing which was held at Edsa Shangri-La Hotel Monday was attended by the network’s chairman and chief executive officer Eugenio Lopez III, president Charo Santos-Concio, channel head Cory Vidanes, entertainment head Linggit Tan, and business unit head Cathy Perez.

Sharon who is hosting a talk show on ABS-CBN, shared that she would also like to do a sitcom following her hit comedy film "Best Friends Forever (BFF)."

"I think nagulat ang maraming tao noong lumabas ang BFF na kaya ko pa lang maging loka loka. Pero kapag drama ay special 'yon usually. Sa big screen ako makikita kapag ganoon," she said.

She is also currently filming a drama movie under Regal Films entitled “Mano Po 6: My Mother.”

'Best Friends Forever' grosses P16M on opening day

The first movie of Megastar Sharon Cuneta and Comedy Queen Ai-Ai delas alas has earned at least P16 million in box-office receipts nationwide on its opening day.

Star Cinema Booking and Distribution Department said the movie “Best Friends Forever” grossed an estimated P16 million on its first day alone.

"Basta sa ikakatuwa ng audience talagang gagawin ko. Salamat talaga sa nanood ng premiere namin. I had so much fun. Sabi ko nga kay direk 'ang bilis naman, gusto ko pang mag-shooting, direk,’" Sharon said.

"Masaya kami kasi maganda ang movie. And hindi lang ito pampamilya, pang-magkaibigan talaga," Aiai added.

The movie is about the story of two best friends whose friendship will be tested when they discover that they are in love with only one man.

I was able to watch the movie and it is fun. It may not be the best movie ever-produced by Star Cinema but it is still good and it is a family movie that will surely touched everybody’s heart.

Sharon excited over Mother's Day movie with Ai Ai

Sharon Cuneta expressed her excitement as she makes another movie this year after her blockbuster movie Caregiver. She said she’s happy that she’ll be working with Director Wenn Deramas and comedienne Ai Ai de las Alas.

Although her co-star, de las Alas was not present during their first shooting day, Cuneta was looking forward to working with her knowing that the comedienne is now in good shape.

De las Alas was discharged Friday from Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation hospital, where she was treated for acute pyelonephritis and acute gastritis.

With John Estrada as her husband and de las Alas as best friend in the movie, Cuneta is glad to be working again with old friends and co-workers.

The Megastar is overwhelmed with emotions: happiness, excitement, pressure and anxiety while working on the movie as it will be shown on May 30.

“It’s no joke talaga to do a movie na medyo you don’t want to rush something just for the sake of having something na iso-showing in time for Mother’s day. Pero siyempre gusto mo maganda yung quality,” the actress explained.

Cuneta is confident the project will do great because she’s working with the best people for the movie.
