Vice Ganda featured on Reader's Digest Asia.

"Showtime" judge and comedian Vice Ganda will be featured on popular magazine Reader's Digest Asia for its September 2010 issue.

"Tapos na yong interview nagawa na namin the other day (Tuesday) tapos shoot na lang. Yung pictorial na lang ang ini-schedule by next week," Vice Ganda said.

The comedian said that at first he can't believe that the popular digest would be interested in him. He even bared that when he finally got to meet the correspondents of Reader's Digest he repeatedly asked why he was chosen by the magazine out of five comedians.

"Tinanong ko kasi kung bakit ako? Sabi daw kasi sa kanila 'yon ang binigay na directive ng Singapore office ng Reader's Digest na i-feature. Yong binigay ngang pangalan ay yong real name ko pa i-feature itong comedian na Jose Mari Viceral. Hindi nila alam na si Vice Ganda yon," he said.

Vice Ganda said he is really thankful for the opportunity and recognition given to him by the Reader's Digest Asia.

"Nakakatuwa. Nakaka-flatter. Hindi naman kasi nabibigyan ng ganitong chance at alam naman natin kung gaano kalawak itong Reader's Digest internationally. Talagang maraming nagsu-subscribe ng Reader's Digest, maraming bumabasa kaya masaya," he said.

Vice Ganda follows other Filipinos that have been featured on the magazine, including boxing champion Manny Pacquiao, comedian-singer Michael V and actor Diether Ocampo.

Vice Ganda, the unevictable judge of hit talent morning show "Showtime", is currently busy shooting his first film "Petrang Kabayo."

He is also the first Filipino celebrity to breach the 1-million-fan mark in the social networking site Facebook.

As of posting, Vice Ganda's Facebook fan page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Vice-Ganda/56771207447) has 1,671,692 fans.
