Nina receives Diamond Record Award for “Nina Live!” CD

Nina recently became the first female artist in the Philippines to receive the Diamond Record Award after her album “Nina Live!” has reached sales of 200,000 copies.

Nina, who is part of ASAP’s “Sessionistas, was in tears when she received the plaque given by Warner Music Philippines on musical variety show “ASAP 09” last Sunday.

Reportedly, “Nina Live!” is the fourth biggest selling album of an OPM artist, only behind Eraserheads' "Cutterpillow" (10x Platinum) and Jose Mari Chan’s "Christmas In Our Hearts" (20x Platinum) and "Constant Change" (10x Platinum).
Jose Mari Chan's “Constant Change” was the first album to receive the Diamond Record Award almost a decade ago.

The CD was Nina’s third album released in 2005. In the album, Nina sang popular love songs, all of which she has covered live, in the 70s and 90s. "Love Moves in Mysterious Ways," "Steep," "Constantly," and "Through the Fire" are among the songs included in the album.

Nina recently launched her latest CD called “Renditions of the Soul."
