'You Changed My Life' earns a record P27M on Saturday

Three days after the movie's first showing,“You Changed My Life” has earned a record P27 million on February 28, its producer Star Cinema told entertainment talk show “The Buzz.”

Star Cinema said it is optimistic that the romantic-comedy film will hit P100 million in box-office receipts on Monday.

Under the direction of well-acclaimed director Cathy Garcia-Molina, “You Changed My Life” is posing to surpass the earning of “A Very Special Love.”

You Changed my Life is a sequel to A Very Special Love, which grossed a total of P180 million.

Lead star John Lloyd Cruz and Molina are both in the United States for the film’s screening there. Reached by phone, Cruz said the movie had two screenings in Los Angeles and the tickets were all sold out.

Meanwhile, due to huge success of their films, lead stars Cruz and Sarah Geronimo have been dubbed the “Box Office King and Queen.”

Geronimo thanked her fans, supporters and moviegoers for watching the film.

“Wala po akong masabi, sobrang overwhelming ang reception niyo. Salamat sa pag-suporta niyo sa team-up namin ni John Lloyd. Thank you Lord. Thank you sa inyong lahat,” Geronimo said.
