Kapamilya Shows and Stars dominate the 2008 Anak TV Seal Awards.

ABS-CBN shows and stars Dominate the 2008 Anak TV Seal Awards. 22 Kapamilya stars and 24 Kapamilya shows (from ABS-CBN and Studio 23) are this year’s recipients of the Anak TV Seal Awards. On the other hand, 20 Kapuso shows (GMA and QTV) and 7 Kapuso stars also received recognition this year.

The Anak TV Seal Award is presented by the Southeast Asian Foundation for Children and Television for kid-friendly TV programs and personalities who are considered to be good influence on children. The winners are determined through a survey in which the respondents are all children.

ABS-CBN gets P1.4-B loan from BDO

Media giant ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp. has secured a P1.4-billion loan from Banco De Oro to repay some of its debts.
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, ABS-CBN said proceeds of the loan will be used to discharge in full the existing USD 31-million debt under the senior credit agreement.
The new loan has a term of five years with unequal amortizations. It will mature on December 2012.

Television giant ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp. said Tuesday it had signed an agreement on a P2- billion loan to finance improvements on its network transmission capabilities and upgrades in production equipment.

MANILA, Philippines - Broadcast company ABS-CBN Broacasting Corp. has borrowed from local banks to boost its capital.
In a statement to the Philippine Stock Exchange on Wednesday, ABS-CBN said it signed a P1-billion credit facility agreement with Security Bank and the Bank of the Philippine Islands last August 15. The loan has a term of seven years.

ABS-CBN has signed a deal with ABN Amro Bank, N.V., BPI Capital Corporation, and ING Bank N.V. last week to refinance its loan balance of around USD 85 million so it could take advantage of lower interest rates.
The loan is payable up to 2012, with an average interest cost of around 9%.

NETWORK giant ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp. has borrowed P2 billion as part of its P3-billion term loan facility arranged by local banks to fund the expansion of its network.
Proceeds from the term loan facility will be used to finance ABS-CBN’s planned improvements in network transmission capabilities and upgrades in production equipment for this year and next," said Charles A. Gamo, ABS-CBN head of corporate planning and investor relations.
