The Diamond Star Maricel Soriano will remain a Kapamilya after she signed another contract with the ABS-CBN’s movie outfit, Star Cinema.
The multi-awarded actress said that she's excited to know that she'll be doing movies again after doing sitcoms and teleseryes with the network.
She said that with her new contract, she will have to choose her projects more carefully. She said she will pick projects that inspire her. She said that working with Star Cinema is an honor since she enjoyed all the projects she made with the movie outfit.
Part of the contract is an upcoming horror but heartwarming movie entitled "T-2," to be directed by Chito Roño.
Maricel said they will soon finish the film, which is a reunion project with Roño. Soriano's last project with the director was in 1995's "Dahas."
"T-2", according to the actress, is far from other horror films she made simply because it was executed in a very different way to make it unique.
The movie tells the story of a young kid who lost her parents at a young age. She eventually meets Claire (Maricel), a woman who's falling out of love with her husband.
The film also stars comebacking actor Eric Fructuoso, child star Mica dela Cruz (younger sister of actress Angelika dela Cruz) and Derek Ramsay as Maricel’s husband.
She said that all the movies that she did for Star Cinema are memorable.
Maricel is also busy promoting her upcoming television series "Florinda."

Star cinema deserves an excellent talent like that of a Maricel Soriano!!! She's really a gem like her title - a Diamond.....Me and the rest of my friends never doubt to pay whatever the amount of the movie ticket as long as the leadstar is the Diamondstar, Maricel Soriano...iba pag Maricel ang nasa screen, pang award ang dating! Miss ko na sya sa drama sa tv, gaya ng Maricel Drama Anthology, sana maibalik sya sa drama,para magkabuhay na uli ang drama sa tv....walang katulad ang Maricel Soriano, hindi kayang pantayan ng iba, lalong hindi kayang sapawan ng walang talent na dinadaan na lang sa pagpapacute ang lahat mapansin lang!
