Grand slam actress Lorna Tolentino will be making her television comeback with a special guest appearance on the hit TV series “May Bukas Pa.”

'The Singing Bee' makes third season buzz

The number one singing game show on land "The Singing Bee" enters its third season, starting this Saturday, April 25 on ABS-CBN.

The game show is up with exciting new treats and gimmicks for the show's fans after a smashing first year anniversary episode last Sunday on April 19. It will be back with bubbly host Cesar “Buboy” Montano, the Bandble Bee, the Honeybees and the Song Bees Frenchie Dy, Apple Chiu, MC Castro, OJ Mariano, and Michael Cruz.

The third season takes entertainment to a new level with a new round called “Pics BEE With You,” which will surely be a new favorite among viewers. 'T2' earns P70M in two weeks

The movie, “T2” of Star Cinema has already earned at least P70 million in box-office receipts more than a week after it started to be shown in cinemas nationwide.

“The Buzz” reported that the horror-suspense film has already grossed a total of P75 million as of April 18.

Directed by well-acclaimed director Chito Roño, the storyline of "T2" is based on the "engkanto" stories culled from the staff and crew of the movie. The screenplay was written by Aloy Adlawan.

In "T2," Roño was reunited with Diamond Star Maricel Soriano.

In the movie, Soriano plays a woman who is working for an orphanage. Weird things begin to occur after she meets an orphan (Mika dela Cruz), who turns out to be part of a family of "engkantos."

Vilma Santos is in New York to shoot 'In My Life'

Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos on Sunday flew to New York in the United States to begin shooting for her much anticipated comeback movie, “In My Life.”

Santos will stay in New York until the second week of May, “The Buzz” reported.

“Napakasaya ko dahil alam naman nating ito (show business) ang pinagmulan kong mundo, so, I’m very, very excited,” Santos said in an interview before boarding her plane.

In “In My Life,” a comedy-drama film, the star for all seasons will work with son Luis Manzano and “Box Office King” John Lloyd Cruz, both of whom will play gay roles.

Santos said all the cast and crew are giving their best to produce a good film.

The governor also said she is excited to work with Cruz.

Karylle, who is part of ABS-CBN's upcoming mini-series "Maruja," said that of all the showbiz stars she has met, it is the goddess beauty of actress Kristine Hermosa that mesmerizes her.

Hermosa is the lead star in the afternoon series.

Karylle recalled that she kept her eyes on Hermosa the first time she saw the actress. She said Hermosa looks younger now especially with her short hair.

"Natutuwa ako kasi noong una, sobra akong nahihiya dahil tingin ako ng tingin kay Kristine kasi sobra siyang ganda, lalo na ngayon. She looks younger, nag-haircut siya. Ako minsan, titig ako ng titig sa kanya, baka isipin niya, ano ba ito, fan?" she said.

Karylle said that she told Hermosa how pretty she is and how she admires her skin complexion.

"Sabi ko sa kanya sobra lang akong nai-starstruck, kasi ang puti niya at ang ganda-ganda niya pala talaga, tapos eventually, na overcome ko na 'yong pagka-fan ko," Karylle said.

Gina alajar plays contrabida in “Kambal sa Uma.”

Veteran actress Gina Alajar said that she welcomes the idea of playing a villain in ABS-CBN's upcoming afternoon television series "Kambal sa Uma."

Gina said that playing a contrabida is very challenging for her since she is used to playing good characters.

"This is a welcome change, para masubukan kong gumanti sa kanila at masubukan kong parusahan sila at mag-plot against them. Kasi lagi, kapag mahirap, ikaw ang gustong patayin, ikaw ang inaapi, sinasamapal-samap ka," Alajar said.

The actress said that in "Kambal sa Uma" she will be making the lives of the lead stars hard and difficult.

"So ngayon naman, ako ang mananampal, ako ang magpapahirap, ako ang may-evil scheme so tignan natin," Alajar said.

"Kambal sa Uma is based on the 1978 hit movie of Rio Locsin, which was also based on the hit Pinoy Komiks of the same title.

“Kambal sa Uma” film was produced by SQ Film Productions under the direction of acclaimed director Joey Gosiengfiao.
Aside from Locsin, the stars in the original movie were Orestes Ojeda, Al Tantay, Julie Ann Fortich. Showbiz siblings Dennis Roldan and Isabel Rivas were introduced in the movie.
