The young actress who was also the “Close-Up to Fame runner-up was also part of the original cast of the gag show “Banana Split” but was pulled out of the project because of a schedule conflict.

Another major highlight in Bangs’ career this year is an endorsement deal with a liquor brand where she was asked to do a sexy calendar pictorial which is a first for her. The photo was shot at the scenic Pearl Farm in Davao.

Acting alongside Piolo Pascual and John Lloyd Cruz is one of the former “Let’s Go” star’s dream projects.

The four finalists couldn’t help but scream with joy when their names were called during the much-awaited finals last night at the activity center of the Trinoma Mall. Though they were crowd favorites, Robi, Monica, Chino, and Bianca admitted that it was definitely a tough contest since the other contenders have shown much potential in hosting as well. The fact that they have also built new friendships along the way only increased their desire to just enjoy their final performance as a group.

The event was a huge success as throngs of people went to see their bets win as well as their favorite OPM bands and artists (Sandwich, Kyla, Hale, Hilera, Nyoy Volante, Sugarfree, and MYMP) perform live.

PDA’s Bugoy and Liezel sign contracts with Star Records.

Two more ex-scholars from the Pinoy Dream Academy season 2 got recording contracts, after Grand Star Dreamer Laarni Lozada. Bugoy Drilon and Liezel Garcia each signed a record deal with Star records last October 17 and both ex-scholars can not contain their excitement that they will soon record their very first albums.

Popular songwriter Vehnee Saturno will be producing the album of Bugoy which he said will establish the young singer’ identity as a performer. “Kasama sa album ‘yung composition ni Ryan Cayabyab na ‘Paano Na Kaya’ and Ryan will be writing another song. The album will contain six cuts. Meron kaming revivals, siguro we’ll be doing two. The rest will be all original pop-R&B,” said Vehnee.

Liezel, however, would rather not make it a big deal about her getting a record deal first over second Star Dreamer Miguel Mendoza.

Star Records Managing Director Annabelle Regalado-Borja expressed how happy she is for the success of the PDA2 ex-scholars in the early stage of their careers. “Star Records is very happy na ‘yung kanta ni Bugoy na ‘Paano Na Kaya’ is number in many radio stations. The PDA2 Sing Cayabyab album is doing very well, number one in all Odyssey retail outlets and is still selling like pancakes.”

High quality slide trax.

I was able to visit a couple of manufacturing plants before and I was always amazed on how their machineries work seamlessly. As I have always been working with computers; I don’t know much about how these machineries work. One thing I know for sure is when these machines fail, companies will lose money.

That is why it is imperative for companies to get the services of a trusted company for all their machinery or conveyor problems. One company in the United States that can be trusted when it comes to machineries is Slideways. They have been helping hundreds of companies in resolving machine and conveyor belt problems. They have been in business since 1994 making standard and custom designed plastic parts, components and bearings, conveyor chain and belt guides.

They also manufacture high quality engineered SlideTrax, plastic intrusions and simple and complex custom designed plastic parts for packaging equipment, conveyor systems, process equipment, bottling and canning and other applications.

A convenient way to build conveyors and refurbish existing ones is to use Slide tracks for side flexing and straight running chain. And the curves can be made of many materials. Visit their website to learn more. You can also get a quote online for particular products.

The life story of PDA’s Bugoy in "Maalaala Mo Kaya"

Bugoy Drilon of Pinoy Dream Academy (PDA) Season 2 will share his rags-to-riches story and his struggle to fulfill his dreams in the country’s longest running drama anthology “Maalaala Mo Kaya” (MMK), this coming Saturday, October 11.

Bugoy said that he is thrilled but at the same time anxious for the reactions of television viewers and his family.

The Pinoy Dream academy alumnus said that he was really happy doing his scenes for MMK. He shared that he taped for almost a day and revealed that he would be appearing on the last part of the show.

The singer said that the show is worth watching since they will learn things about poverty, perseverance and success. He appealed to his fans to watch the show and to continue supporting his other projects.

Success may have come to Bugoy, but he said the greatest lesson he learned after all these was that, his father will always be his father no matter whom and what he is. As a son, Bugoy’s unfailing love for his father would always be his greatest achievement.

In MMK, singer Mark Bautista will portray Bugoy. Joining Bautista are stars Malou de Guzman, Soliman Cruz, Paw Diaz, Sarah Palad with the special participation of PDA’s mentor Monet Silvestre, Hansen Nichols, Maria Lizel Garcia and Chivas Garcia.

"Komiks Presents Tiny Tony" will begin on October 11.

Finally, the adventures of “Tiny Tony” will begin on October 11, 2008 replacing “Varga” on “Komiks Presents”. Tiny Tony is another creation of Mars Ravelo. This is welcome news as I personally don’t like “Varga” who has evolved to just another fantasy-love story.

“Komiks presents: Tiny Tony” is top billed by John Prats who will play the role of Tony. The 24-year-old actor said that he is excited to play as Tiny Tony although this is not the first time for him to play a superhero role. He has played superhero roles before in the movies Batang X (1995) and Super Noypi (2006). He said that there’s a big technological difference between the scenes he shoot for Tiny Tony and his previous works.

Tiny Tony revolves around the story of a poor but excessively smart kid, Tony, who was discovered by a scientist (Dr. Peralta) who eventually sponsored his entire schooling. Together, they formulated a secret shrinking solution which was poured over to Tony in an accident. Tony became tiny and killed Dr. Peralta in the process.

Joining Prats' exciting adventures are stars Alex Gonzaga, Coco Martin, Mura, Susan Africa and Gerard Acao with the special participation of Pen Medina, Zaijan Jaranilla, Julius Garesa and Kim Alcantara

"Tiny Tony" is directed by Mr. Dondon Santos.

Watch out for Tiny Tony's adventures as it premieres this coming Saturday, October 11 only on ABS-CBN.

The Online Clinic

Going to a doctor for a consultation nowadays can be a pain in the neck. Lucky for you if you called the previous week and you have a scheduled appointment with the doctor but if not, then you have to wait long queues. It’s actually a good sign that people are more and more health-conscious but it’s a bad sign if you are at the end of the queue, waiting to be looked at by the doctor. Besides, consultation fees nowadays are quite expensive.

With the advent of modern technology, consultations can now be done online for certain medical conditions. There are now online clinics for people who do not have time to visit a doctor, where you can also purchase prescriptions accordingly. You can even discuss your condition with doctors online who can prescribe medications. The good news is, the consultation is FREE.

However, you still have to exercise caution when choosing an online clinic. You may encounter clinics that sell medications for very low prices, think twice as these may not be the real thing. Some would even let you purchased medications without proper consultations, for your own safety, stay away from these online clinics.

The Online Clinic is a UK based health provider, their activities are regulated by the Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Agency. They specializes in weight loss treatments, impotence, hair loss and even the latest treatment for you to stop smoking. As a regulated clinic, they may prescribe diet pills like Acomplia or Reductil to help you lose weight after a thorough online consultation. Acomplia helps manage food cravings and Reductil can make you feel satisfied even when eating less. These medications are not without side effects so it is imperative that you take the free consultation first to check your suitability for these medications.

If you want to know more about these medications or the clinic's other services, you can visit their website or you can call their email or telephone support.
